Ras Kennedy´s Feb. 10th, 2008 EJ Update

Greetings EJ Readers,

February - it´s that transition month of the year when the weather changes from cold to colder, from windy to windier, to hopefully, warmer. February is a tough month, and after we make it through the month, March brings it´s wind and winter thaw. And that is something to look forward to, because what it means is spring is around the corner - and we´re all looking forward to that.

Yep, it´s time for our recent supporters:

New subscriber, John Walker is a living miracle. I was canvassing his neighborhood and he invited me inside his home. I had a seat on his couch, and he told me he wanted to show me something. He returned to his living room with a pair of ¨old-school¨ Nike shoes that looked like they were cut from the ankles to the toe; just ruined. He asked me how they got to be like this. I looked at them, from different perspectives, and mentioned to him they looked liked they were chopped or slashed. After my guesses, he came forward with a portfolio which had documented evidence of what happened to him in the 80´s. Being a pitcher on a baseball team, while wearing these shoes, he was talking some strategy with a fellow team mate on the baseball mound. A storm was approaching, and while discussing the upcoming play, John was struck by lightning. His team mate said the impact lifted him 10 feet in the air, and immediately his face turned blue and the shock had him regurgitating. The lightning blew his shoes completely off his feet. John was in a coma for weeks, and when he came to, rehabilitation was instituted on how to re-learn how to walk and talk. When he was close to full recovery, John made an effort to bike from the east coast of America, to Boulder, Colorado, to raise funds for a charity to help other people in his situation. John, welcome aboard, and a person like you gives people determination to keep surviving and strive for excellence. It was a pleasure to meet you, John, and send in your expressions to be recorded for history, because YOU definitely should.

Chandrika Prem was at her apartment with her son, when I knocked on her door. She mentioned to me her son is an artist, and he even showed me some of them. She seen the importance of the EJ, and she got on board with a silver subscription.

Linda Campbell is a quilter, and her daughter is a musician, and while visiting her home, she got on board with a silver subscription, too.

Heather Nevill, Randi Lornell, Kelly Smith, Christine Roe, Neil Burris, Gino Wolford, Brian Gabler, Karen Stanley, Jean Saul, Bruce Kohl, Barry Lynch, Nicole White, Eddie McGarraugh, John Neas, Linda Michel, Jennifer Stevens, Sarah Terry, Owen Borseth, Ryan Mucker, Veronica Vallejos, and Alex Bowman all recieved our latest issue and a cd too.

Thank you for your support, and send in your expressions for history.

Ras Kennedy´s Feb. 4th, 2008 EJ Update

Greetings EJ Readers,

One month of 2008 is in the history books, and February has just started. I don´t know about your part of the world, but I hope that Mr. Groundhog said the winter season will be shorter for you. I always find it amazing how a burrowing rodent will get so much attention on his expertise in weather patterns, that people will believe it as fact. Just a reminder to all you people who think Mr. Groundhog has all the answers on Feb. 2nd, he doesn´t have a meteorology degree.

Anyway, here are some recent supporters:

New subscribers Michael and Danielle Coutts, got on board with a silver subscription to share her and her children´s artwork. We hope to hear from all of you.

Ryan MaGee, Janet Fender, Vanessa Cordona, Cindy Counts, Sue Donaldson, Jeff Gorman, Jennifer Covert, Michelle Miller, Mark Guy, Debra Barringer, Paul Carr, Mary Sours, Jean Bolger, Karen Mucek, Jane Halley, Kat DeLaCruz, Eric Rattelmueller, Paul Bedrosian, Judy Lucero, Julian Brandeis-Sperandeo, and Judy Walden all received iss. 108 and a cd. Thank you for your support, and please send in your expressions for publishing in our next edition.

Ras Kennedy's Jan.14th, 2008 EJ Update

Greetings EJ Readers,

We're off and running in 2008!! The new year is in full swing, and the EJ is grabbing the bull by the horns. This is the EJ's 14th year, and we've come a long way from the 8-page newspaper that was started by founder, Ras Bernell Trammell in 1994. Our newest issue is a 32-page black and white magazine that has got some great expressions from people all over the United States. Order it today, and read some great fiction by writers Neil Douglas Baker (author of previous submitted work, "The Doctor Prescribed Death", the EJ's longest running serial (31 episodes)), and Jesse Teller, with his second installment of "The Stalwart". Also showcased in our latest issue, is artist Antoria Bowman, from Lavonia, Georgia, who sent in a self-portrait that is published on this quarter's front and back cover. Fantastic work!! This young lady has some excellent skills, and you can see it on issue 108. Some other new things in our latest issue include: 4 new publishing packages (listed on page 28), and also the EJ's Universal Recycle Service (for all your recyclable needs). Check out this edition, it's a nice readers' issue.

Here are some recent supporters:
